Annual Mass for the Deceased of the Dominican Family

Every year, there is a Mass for the Deceased of the Dominican Family. This year’s Mass was on Saturday 13th November. Andy and Margaret Doyle, from the Newcastle Fraternity, who were on holiday in Rome, attended the Mass and remembered the deceased Lay Dominicans of our province.

The Mass is held at the church of S. Lorenzo in Rome and is attended by people from all the different branches of the Dominican family.

The main celebrant was the Master of the Order, fr. Gerard Timoner III OP.

After Mass, there is a procession to the mausoleum of the friars in the cemetery of Verano, next to the church, for the blessing of graves.
