Events
Save the Date
Dominicans love to meet and greet, they love to study, organise, preach and hear each other speak. Here are some key events in the calendar we in the NW like to pencil in each year on top of our monthly meetings.
Annual Fraternal Group Retreat – TBA
Each Fraternity or Fraternal Group is required to make an annual retreat. It may be as brief as one day or extend over a few days away. Ours is agreed at our monthly meetings in the course of the year.
Lay Dominican Assembly – usually in early September
Lay Dominicans assemble once a year from all over the province to hold a general meeting of the whole Lay Dominican family under our constitutions. It is a whole day event comprised of study and business required under our constitution.
Dominican Seminar – March 2023
Sisters, Brothers, Lay Dominicans, Secular Dominicans are invited to gather together, usually over a weekend, once a year to hear news or teaching. Previously, the event was held in January, in 2022, it was held in March. It is due again in March 2023.
Formation Officer Teresa’s Formation Events and Courses
Every Dominican is called to pray, study, preach and live a life of community. To help us in the NW to study, our Formation Officer Teresa suggests a few study resources below.
