The Edinburgh Fraternity is sad to announce the death of Sofia Leonard on 19th December, while being grateful to God for the gift of her life and of her time with us. Her funeral will be at St Albert’s on 8th January at 11am, and will be livestreamed.
Sofia joined the Edinburgh Fraternity in 2019 after the death of her beloved husband John, and was finally professed in April 2023. She was originally from Peru, and had been attending the parish of St Albert’s, Edinburgh with her husband and children for over sixty years. She had a great devotion to St Rose of Lima and St Martin de Porres. She gave the Fraternity a wonderful talk last June about Pope Leo’s mission in Peru. Please keep the Fraternity and Sofia’s family in your prayers.
