The 2026 Seminar took place at Hinsley Hall in Leeds, from 27 February to 1 March, and our theme was ‘Pilgrims of peace: The Christian Calling in a Polarised World’. It’s always a great joy for the brothers, the sisters and the laity to come together as the Dominican family, and we had a weekend of discussion, prayer and socialising.

We hard from some excellent speakers:
- Sr. Philomena Benedict Le Gall OP spoke on ‘Reframing Justice and Peace for the 21st Century: A Dominican Perspective‘
- fr. Samuel Burke OP spoke on ‘A Dominican Chaplain in the Royal Navy: a sign of Contradiction?‘
- Howard Trust, a Lay Dominican from Cambridge, spoke on ‘Law as an Instrument of Change or of Social Policy‘.

We were delighted to welcome Jenny Sinclair, the Founder and Director of Together for the Common Good. Jenny spoke about ‘Christian Calling and the Relational Imperative‘, and her talk generated many questions and much discussion.
A transcript of Jenny’s talk is available, and you can find out more on substack.
