A new book by fr. Timothy Radcliffe OP and fr. Lukasz Popko OP has just been published. ‘Questioning God’ was launched at Blackfriars, Oxford on Thursday 6th July.
On 23 and 24 June, the Dominican friars in Edinburgh hosted a conference entitled ‘St. Dominic and his Preachers of Grace’. Members of the Dominican family spoke about the past, present and future of the Order in our province and particularly in Scotland. Fr. Dermot Morrin OP hosted the conference. The past: Fr. Alexander David Marsh made his temporary profession for 3 years on Sunday June 11th while the Oxford Corpus Christi procession was streaming into the Blackfriar’s church. Fortunately the Prior gave us permission to use the Priory Chapter room for the Rite of Profession. We had a good turn-out of members (16) despite the heat and
*Learning Chant With Lay Dominicans* Most Friday mornings in school term time a few Lay Dominicans of the English Province gather to practice chant. Much of the chant is from the Dominican tradition, though not exclusively. We meet by video conference (Teams, Zoom) and use a range of printed and recorded music to facilitate learning.
