Please pray for the repose of the soul of Maureen Hawkes, who died on Sunday. Maureen was a member of the Fraternity which used to meet in the New Forest, and for the last few years has been a Lone Lay Dominican, and a great supporter of the new group which is currently being established.

On 23 and 24 June, the Dominican friars in Edinburgh hosted a conference entitled ‘St. Dominic and his Preachers of Grace’. *Learning Chant With Lay Dominicans* Most Friday mornings in school term time a few Lay Dominicans of the English Province gather to practice chant. Much of the chant is from the Dominican tradition, though not exclusively. We meet by video conference (Teams, Zoom) and use a range of printed and recorded music to facilitate learning.
